In August of 2022, the City of Joondalup Council unanimously voted to implement a new Venue Hire Fees and Charges Policy that would undermine the work of local community groups and sporting clubs.

These changes could cost clubs tens of thousands of dollars and were made without any community consultation.

Many clubs and organisations have indicated that if this policy is implemented, they may not be able to continue to operate.

The City of Joondalup must urgently review their proposed changes and include proper consultation with our community.
