The State Government knows that Western Australia’s young people are deeply invested in real action to prevent the dangers of climate change.

This is why it was an absolute pleasure to organise a Youth Climate Action Forum for Belridge Secondary College!

Climate Action and Environment Minister Reece Whitby came out to Hillarys to give local senior school students a personal briefing on all the initiatives the State Government was undertaking to secure clean and affordable renewable energy.

As well as change the way we recycle and create methane-emitting landfill, protect our native forests and help research into securing new clean and green energy export industries for our state.

The students had some fantastic hard-hitting questions for the Minister and I. The Cook State Government will legislate climate targets and ensure WA does its part to safeguard our future and create the industries of the future.
