On Wednesday 13 October, Belridge Secondary College hosted my first ever Hillarys Education Forum with special guest, the Hon Sue Ellery, Minister for Education and Training.
The Forum was a great opportunity for local school principals, P&C presidents and school board chairs to speak directly to the Minister about their schools and to discuss how they had managed to adapt and thrive despite the challenges of COVID-19.
Over $65 million in State Government commitments has been allocated to local schools, so the forum was also a wonderful chance to discuss how new construction and learning resources are being delivered for local students.
I would like to thank all the wonderful school leaders who shared their experiences, ideas and feedback at the forum. I would also like to thank Minister Ellery for sharing her valuable time and experience with the Hillarys community – we can’t wait to see you again soon.
