The 2023-2024 Western Australian State Budget has a number of important resourcing outcomes for our local health services.

We’re investing a further $2.7 billion in WA health and mental health - bringing our new investment to an unprecedented $10 billion over the last three years.

An additional $75 million is being spent to address ED pressures and ambulance ramping, bringing the total spend to over $452 million in this term of government.

We’re allocating more funding to make sure that Joondalup Health Campus is able to provide the best quality healthcare. The rebuild will mean 112 new beds – and new health services such as a cardiac care unit, surgical units and a mental health facility.
