Premier Roger Cook, Education Minister Dr Tony Buti and Member for Hillarys Caitlin Collins MLA today officially opened the state-of-the-art $22.8 million redevelopment of Hillarys Primary School.

The project, delivered by the Cook Labor Government, includes 16 new general learning classrooms, two new kindergarten classrooms and a new inclusive education classroom.

A new administration building, library, staffroom, hardcourts, parking and landscaping also form part of the build. The redevelopment also includes new terraces providing areas for outdoor teaching and learning opportunities.

The major rebuild of the school was completed in three stages and designed by EIW Architects and built by Crothers Construction.

Hillarys Primary School is a Kindergarten to Year 6 school with more than 500 students enrolled. The redevelopment replaces the school facilities that opened in 1973.

This project is part of the WA Labor Government's record $4.8 billion education infrastructure investment that is being delivered across the State.

“Hillarys Primary School has served its community since 1973, so we are proud to deliver these wonderful modern facilities that will offer the best possible learning experiences while accommodating growing enrolments," said Premier Cook.

“It is such an exciting time in education for families in our community, with the completion of this project and the major upgrades of Duncraig Senior High School and Springfield Primary School - projects which I have advocated strongly for," said Caitlin Collins MLA.
